H. Managing and Interpreting the Collective Agreements (One Half Day)
- Review existing agreements on a clause by clause basis;
- Provide basic "Labour Relations 101" training to assist Manager/Supervisors in the interpretation of the collective agreement;
- Develop common understandings regarding the administration, interpretation and application of collective agreements.
- Ensure protocols are in place to expedite grievance resolution;
- Ensure Supervisors are aware of the "Do's and Don'ts of administering the Collective Agreement to ensure all management rights are retained.
Deliverables:
- Compendium of Contract Clauses as a guideline for interpretation.
